ARTIST STATEMENT
Indigenous Proud Logo Design
The bear represents strength, family, courage, and health. I wanted to showcase all of these qualities proudly from within.
The bear carries a raven stealing the sun and a salmon.
The raven who carries the sun is meant to represent the next generation. A generation that brings light, resilience, and movement to our communities and families. Though the raven will burn, he will rise and bring light to our world. Life is never without challenges but we raise our youth to fly beyond and live the lives they deserve.
The salmon represents fertility, life, and renewal.
The bear carries the salmon next to the raven, a backing and reassurance of all things. A system of support in community and family and a source of comfort.
Love in any capacity always wins and will provide for us vitality for our future generations for years to come.
